Since 2008, Damian Alexander-Hotep Dawson of Detroit, Michigan has served as a cultural brand marketing strategist for established and emerging companies in the arts, culture, and entertainment industries. He started with Warner Records in their radio "mix-show" department. Tapping into his entrepreneurial mindset - Damian went on to successfully launch regional and national radio promotion campaigns as a Partner for Live The Music Group while executing creative direction, experiential marketing, publicity and social media strategies for his roster of artists independently. His next move was StockX, a $3.8 billion unicorn start-up, where his creative and cultural insights drove 209% ROI. Subsequently, he led Global Brand Marketing for another start-up, 1xRun, the world's leading publisher of fine art editions and online destination for original art resulting in the company's highest ever Gross Merchandise Volume and 2x revenue growth. He most recently served as an Associate Connections Director, Social at the advertising agency VMLY&R working on Coca Cola's portfolio of brands and Sam's Club DE&I initiatives. Damian received his Bachelors of BA (Entertainment, Sports, Promotion and Management) from Northwood University.
